Floral Rework

Before and after rework on this floral rib piece – with the addition of the bird to accentuate fit and flow. And she sat for this in one shot BOOM!

Restoring Clarity to an Old Tattoo

It was an honor to rework this piece, designed by Haida Master Artist Bill Reid. Reworking detail in an old tattoo requires time and patience, but recovering that clarity breathes life back into the tattoo.

Design Tips: Floral

Fresh Ink! Half sleeve in progress (including two coverups) – this phase incorporating rich sunflower and wheat colors and textures!

The asymmetry, imperfection and constant transition of the natural world is what makes it so striking and humbling. When working with floral elements, consider working with those unique transitional moments rather than the ever present Kodak moment poster child bloom – such as a budding bloom, a bloom just past it’s prime or a windswept blossom.
