Floral Coverup

/in Cover Ups, Evolution of a Tattoo/by adminTattoos are a commitment, and they’re only as permanent as the passing times in our lives.
Coverups are a way for tattoos to change and grow with us!
When considering a coverup, I recommend temporarily forgetting it’s a coverup. Think of two or three ideas that you’d love to have if you were getting a brand spankin’ new tattoo. Email me with questions or to set up a consult and we’ll discuss and plan the piece. Once we have the concept in place, the key to a quality coverup is flexibility in size, detail, texture and color – these allow us to transition the old into the new!

Stained Glass coverup
/in Cover Ups, Textures/by adminI love a good coverup – and what makes a for solid coverup is a client knows what they want their new tattoo to be, and who’s open to the creative process and flexible in how we get there.
This is a fantastic example of having a solid design idea to begin with –
a stained glass inspired Cicada – and then flexibility in size, detail, color, texture and flow to let the new tattoo take on a life of its own. LOVE this piece!

Armour Full Sleeve
/in Cover Ups, Evolution of a Tattoo, Extensive, Renewing the Creative, Textures/by adminThe Fun-O-Meter needle is topping out on this one!
I spent the day in blacksmith mode, customizing this full sleeve of armour. I drew most of the design directly on his arm in order to maximize fit and flow within the design. Looking forward to phase two when we complete the coverup, add the chainmail and incorporate shading to provide texture and dimension.
