Tattooing lost a legend today. Philadelphia Eddie passed away this morning. He was a cornerstone of American tattoo culture.
 
 Last time I saw Crazy Eddie we ate pecan pie, drank whiskey and talked about his days tattooing on Coney Island. A memory I’m thankful to carry with me.
 
 Rest In Peace, Eddie. SLAINTÉ!

Ötzi the Iceman

Ötzi the Iceman is a 5300 year old corpse discovered in the Swiss Alps in 1991. And he has tattoos (also, coincidentally 5300 years old!).
 
 Ötzi is awesome.
 
 Ötzi’s starring in the Nova episode “Iceman Reborn” tonight on PBS at 8pm (Minneapolis time).
