Custom Family Tree

In progress! A solid start on a custom family tree, incorporating multiple influences from family to nuances of Minnesota – and a coverup! When complete, this tree will have a subtle Celtic knot work texture in the bark.

Skull Half Sleeve

Fresh Ink! Lovin’ this skull customized with natural elements. The birds add movement and color in addition to the texture of the skull and the black and grey contrast of the rosary and cross – all coming together in one cohesive piece that flows.

Custom Hamsa Tattoo

My friend Ali’s custom black and gray Hamsa tattoo has a fantastic mix of texture, shading, and detail. Bigger is better when it comes to tattoos, because I can incorporate more when I have more space to work with!

Black Lace Wrap

The newest phase of completion on the custom black lace wrap! Both quarter sleeves and chest panels are complete (including two coverups!). Now for the back panel to complete the extensive tattoo!

Watercolor Cherry Blossoms

This watercolor cherry blossom and wave piece was a blast! A style that I’m seeing more and more people seek in their tattoos, translating the style and feel of a painting into the medium of tattooing. In this piece I love the juxtaposition of straight up color with black and gray.

Watercolor Chickadee

Susie’s first tattoo! Inspired by a card she received, the subtle watercolor style of the design translated nicely into her tattoo.

Tattoo tip: as you plan your next tattoo, consider what style your like for the design as well as the design content itself.

Texture tattoos

Howz about some texture tattooing? Textiles offer all kinds of fabulous ideas, like these lace panels. I’ve also tattooed a traditional tartan (yes, a plaid tattoo!) and a “knitted” Celtic knot. Anything can be your next tattoo!

A tattoo with HEART

This was SO. MUCH. FUN! Texture, color and dimension all rolled into one. Thanks, Millicent, for being fabulous and creative – that was the icing on the cake!
