The day has come to get that tattoo you’ve been thinking about for so long! But how to begin… hey, no sweat. Simply contact us with an Appointment Inquiry, including the requested details and reference images for what you have in mind, and we’ll be in touch to discuss your ideas. If the design concept compliments our artists’ artistic styles, we’ll schedule a consult, get set with the deposit and book the date to breathe life into your new tattoo.

Basic Consultation is your opportunity to get basic tattoo questions answered in person. The Basic Consultation is complimentary. Due to COVID, we are not currently offering in-person Basic Consults – but we’re happy to answer your questions via email!

Design Consultation provides you the opportunity to work with Awen or Matt one on one to refine your specific design ideas and details prior to your tattoo application. Send the artist you’d like to work with an inquiry. If your concept compliments our artists’ artistic style, we’ll be in touch with you to schedule the consult. A deposit is required to book a Design Consultation. The deposit is non-refundable and is credited from the final cost of your tattoo. Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Apple Pay and Cash are accepted. Deposits are payable online or in-studio, and are arranged through the artist you’re working with.

Pro Tips to help your tattoo process unfold smoothly:

Photo ID is REQUIRED to get a tattoo. That’s right, no exceptions.

Be sure to bring your I.D. to your appointment. Without your photo I.D. your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited. Effective January 1, 2011 the State of Minnesota requires a minimum age of 18 in order to get a tattoo, regardless of parental consent.

Deposit Policy

Deposits are not refundable. The deposit amount is based upon the length of your appointment. The deposit is credited to the final cost of your tattoo. Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Apple Pay and Cash are accepted. Deposits are payable online or in-studio, and arranged through the artist you’re working with.

Rescheduling or abbreviating your appointment with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit your deposit…. except not necessarily right now.

Our standard cancellation/rescheduling/abbreviating an appointment time is 72 hours – this provides us the opportunity to fill the opening by offering the time to another client, which may in turn open up an earlier time for yourself or others. Please be respectful of our time and let us know as soon as possible when you need to reschedule.

For the time being we are waiving the 72 hour notice to encourage clients feeling unwell or who believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19 to postpone their appointment. Read COVID updates here.

Cancellation Policy:

Tattoos are a commitment, and we recognize that sometimes it turns out the time just isn’t right, maybe money is tight or life suddenly got in the way. If you’re committed to your tattoo and just need to postpone, we will move your deposit along with your appointment up to three times before the deposit is forfeited. If you’ve decided to postpone indefinitely, out of consideration for our artists as well as clients waiting to get in, we ask that you provide at least 72 hours notice to cancel. Deposits are non refundable and non transferable when canceling an appointment.

Significantly changing the design concept after the Design Consult will forfeit the deposit.

Be sure to arrive prepared for your Design Consult with specific details, size, placement and reference images. Our artists welcome emails with questions prior to as well as after your consult. We recognize that life changes; if you choose to make significant changes to the design concept after the Design Consult, we will schedule a new Design Consult with a new deposit to begin the new design process. Only one deposit will be credited to the cost of your tattoo.

Arriving for your appointment:

Be sure to check your email before coming in for your appointment in case there are last minute changes to the appointment time. Keep in mind that on occasion unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury or family emergencies may require your artist to reschedule an appointment.

When you arrive for your appointment we will screen for health and direct you to the sink to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Please refrain from bringing anyone with you – they will need to wait elsewhere. And be sure to wear clean clothes, or change clothes before your appointment if you are coming from anywhere but your home. Read COVID-19 updates here.

If you’re more than 20 minutes late arriving for your appointment, it will be necessary to forfeit the deposit and reschedule for the next available opening. Be sure to allow extra time for Uptown Minneapolis traffic and parking. Driving directions and parking info are available here.
