Tahitian Half Sleeve
/in Evolution of a Tattoo, Extensive/by adminRiley traveled from Rhode Island to Minneapolis to add on to the Tahitian tattoo we started last year. His tattoo design is a twelve year timeline telling the narrative of his life. This is what custom tattoos are all about – the narratives of our lives. Great work, Riley! And fabulous to see you, as always.

Dala Horse
/in Uncategorized/by adminSpent today designing a full custom tattoo sleeve for my buddy Eric, and we’re all set to get started tomorrow!
Cannot. Wait.
And now that Eric’s design is set, my attention turns to beginning a portrait! Since I’m all wrapped up in designing, I’m posting a photo from the tattoo archives. This is my best pal Tara’s half sleeve. A fusion of Celtic, abstract, Gothic, black and gray with a *pop* of color – from concept art to finished product.

Watercolor Cherry Blossoms
/in Renewing the Creative, TBT Images, Textures/by adminThis watercolor cherry blossom and wave piece was a blast! A style that I’m seeing more and more people seek in their tattoos, translating the style and feel of a painting into the medium of tattooing. In this piece I love the juxtaposition of straight up color with black and gray.
